Hoose released one this AM- East end— saying still good signs of bait schools and mackerel around there— not much reported mid channel in the way of bait metered or bird life— waiting for the tide swing-- Morning— how ya doing—- we’ve had a couple of bites— couple of boats have fish , one boat has two— 12:40 Nice day on the water— not a whole lot but there’s a few — Dorado either kelp or blind strike , they like bright shinny things— Friday’s 31st report - it’s the weekend ahead of us for relaxing and enjoying some fun- it’s Summer- Blue sky early again - wind lazy at 3 4 kts west light ripple on the water- boats moving about in the harbor Marlin reported still off the East end of the island—the schools of 2-3 inch anchovies being feed on by the greenbacked mackerel, the marlin feeding on them, Of note: below all this volumes of what appears to be squid - cooler water down deep- I think they’re getting smarter- just teasing us with strikes, but no solid hook ups or a few jumps even minutes on stretched out line then tossing the hook— bill wrapped- Time to start getting back into the glasses- kelps- or anything floating may harbor some bait, dorado or some Yellowin two quick up on the jigs —-before they had the chance to drop back a bait — they came up in a pack of fish-two three fish at a time- Swells generated by Genevieve are affecting portions of the Baja California Peninsula and Southern California
