The name marasca comes from the Italian word amarasca, from amaro, which stems from the Latin word amrus (meaning 'bitter'). The cherries have a slightly bitter taste which makes it ideal for fine cherry liqueur and cocktail cherries. This product contains 50% candied cherries and 50% Marasca sour cherry syrup with no artificial
