Meritorious Service Medal GVI Category_Foreign Awards “For King and Empire —Awarded between 1937 and 1952, the coinage issue comes with two different legends around the Kings head, this replica has the legend used until 1948 when the latin for Emperor of India was replaced following that countries independence. 1,090 were awarded with the IND IMP legend and 5,600 with the FID DEF legend.
